Dr. Montoya received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Boston University in 1998 graduating Cum Laude. She also received the Department of Restorative Science Award for Outstanding Performance in Operative Dentistry, the Altshuler Family Student Award for high ethical standards, and was elected to membership in the Honorary Dental Society Omicron Kappa Epsilon. Upon graduating at the top of her class, Dr. Montoya completed a general practice residency program at the Miami Veterans Hospital.
With a strong passion to learn new and innovative procedures, Dr. Montoya continues her post-graduate training attending new courses and seminars to stay abreast of dentistry’s latest advances. Her philosophy is simple. It is centered around the idea of treating her patients as she would like to be treated herself. Communicating all options available to her patients’ is a foundation of the care, the service and the time she provides to each patient. Her goal is to deliver specialized care tailored to each patient’s individual needs. She wants the patient to discover the joy and confidence a healthy, beautiful smile can bring.
Outside of work, Dr. Montoya stays active playing beach volleyball, exercising, and riding motorcycles. Her interests also include photography, traveling and trying new local restaurants. Dr. Montoya loves her pet dogs Cappuccino and Max. When she is not walking or swimming with her dogs she spends time with her husband.
